St Dunstan's Gossip .P.6 First dance at the new Bungalow Annexe, references to members named George W. Shaw, J E Davies, Pte Stiff, William Waddell, C. Templeton, C.Roach, Domino tournaments, Frances Hill, Elizabeth Kirby, Sgt Major Middlemiss, Ernest Runting, George Cronk, Reginald Chaplin, Julia Rance, and more.

Workshop Gossip P. 11 Basket section, an improvement is reported esp. with willow and cane. Mr Wilkins developed a frame to maintain the shape of the baskets while under constructoin. Joinery - Led by Mr Atkinson and Chambers. Boots - Improvements introduced by Mr Weeks. Mats - greatest improvement in this dept.

Entertainment Notes P 13-15 Lunchtime visit by the Metropolitan Variety Orchestra on 5th Sept. Also long description of entertainment on the lawn by the orchestra of the Holborn Empire, tea and cakes on the 11th Sept. Visit of the 1st Newfoundland Regiment Band.

The Suggestion Box P.15 Comment on lack of response to lady teachers wearing uniforms! put a post box in the lounge and hanging ashtrays onto the chairs.

Poultry Notes .P.15 Miss Dorothy Lawrence, superintendant of the Poultry Farm took leave due to overwork. Everyone rallied round. More work at Kings Langley and gifts of poultry described. Increasing number of men are being trained.

Poultry After-Care Notes P 16 55 men settled on their own farms. Description of some of them. Some are diversifying into rabbits and pigs.

September Debates P 18 topics: 'The blind should be specially represented in Parliament' 'The Extent to which blind people can see in their mind's eye things that they never have seen,and the advisability of their training themselves to do this.'

Boating Gossip P.19 last meeting on October 10th until April. Medal awarded to Stockbridge. Training of 4 Canadians and Australians. Tribute to help given by ladies who cox.

September Boat Races P.20 Started late and many beginners.
